Friends, Temple Beth Shalom of Santa Fe is pleased to offer a Yiddish Course for all of us
“Beginners”. Although we all know some Yiddish words or phrases, this class will help you
express yourself in our “other” Holy Language (lishon kodesh). Whether you know only a few
words, a few choice phrases, a few songs, or more, this class is for you.

Brian Serle will be helping out with the occasional Yiddish folk song.
It would help for you to know the Hebrew alef-bet. 


We are fortunate to have Dr. Yehuda Patt teach this Yiddish course series, every Sunday from
May 18 to June 22, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

Dr. Patt is a native speaker of Yiddish and Hebrew, but also speaks fluent English, serving most
recently as Gastrointestinal Oncology Research at the University of New Mexico, as well as a
professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology.


The tuition for the 6-week course is $120 for TBS members, $180 for others.
